NSF Workshop: Networking for Environmental Sustainability in Arid Region Urban Communities

The Texas Tech University Water Resources Center and International Center for Arid and Semi-Arid Land Studies will host a National Science Foundation-funded workshop August 14-16th.

The Workshop will focus on the arid and semi-arid regions where water of adequate quality and quantity is a defining environmental need. The conceptual framework is that of "One Health," which posits that environmental, human, and wildlife health are closely intertwined, and the path to a sustainable future requires meeting human, economic, and environmental needs.

The organizing committee includes experts in the areas of Urban Ecology, Public Health, Engineering, Conservation, and Urban Planning. If you would like to register for the conference or learn more, please visit the link below.
