Teaching Without Borders

Teaching without Borders is a faculty training series being offered during the 2022-23 academic year. The training series will cover course internationalization so instructors can clearly articulate global learning outcomes and readily transform teaching content, pedagogies, and means of assessment. Participants will receive a stipend ($1,000) with completion of the program.

The series of ten meetings will provide an opportunity to think more deliberately about how to integrate current global challenges into subject specific course material. Whether it be how to build intercultural competency to work effectively with people from other parts of the world or how knowledge of a global issue such as migration can aid in immigration challenges locally. The goal is to make us better educators and inspire students to engage in global challenges.

The peer-mentoring program will build and connect a community of faculty who understand that the future's complex challenges require collaboration beyond geographical borders and explore how to bring such challenges into focus in the classroom. Teaching faculty (i.e., tenure or tenure-track, professors of practice and instructors) are encouraged to apply (deadline is September 16, 2022) at https://ttu.infoready4.com/#competitionDetail/1878042.
