K-12 Global Education Outreach Hosts “A Celebration of Light”
Throughout history and across cultures light has been used in many ways: to dispel darkness, as a sign of remembrance, and in festive celebrations. This year, K-12 Global Education Outreach is hosting "A Celebration of Light" featuring Mexico (Las Posadas), India (Diwali), Scotland (Hogmanay), and Germany (Laternenfest). Students from LISD, Cooper and surrounding school districts will learn about the use of light in these cultural celebrations.
