On Wednesday, January 28th, four delegates from Huazhong Agricultural University visited Texas Tech University. HZAU is one of the top agricultural universities in China and specializes in cotton research. Dr. Zianlong Zhang, the Vice-President of HZAU is a top agronomist in his own right and headed the delegation.

As part of the visit, the delegation signed a Collaborative Agreement with TTU at a signing ceremony with Ambassador Tibor Nagy and Provost Lawrence Schovanec. Afterwards, the visitors from China toured the campus before visiting with the Deans of Arts and Sciences as well as Engineering, who then hosted the gentlemen for lunch.

Following lunch, the delegates spent the afternoon visiting the TTU Fiber and Biopolymer Institute on East Loop 280, the TTU Plant and Soil Sciences Research Farm, and a TTU PSS Research Laboratory. That evening, the Office of International Affairs hosted the delegates and distinguished members of TTU for dinner at Texas Land and Cattle, so the visitors could sample good old-fashioned Texas flavors.
