Ambassador Tibor Nagy moderates lively discussion

With Omani Ambassador Hunaina Al-Mughairy and Former US Ambassador to Oman Frances Cook

On November 5, 2015, after a long and successful day of presentations during the Agriculture in Arid Areas conference sponsored by Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center, Omani Ambassador Hunaina Al-Mughairy and former US Ambassador to Oman Frances Cook answered a series of questions written by students and faculty and asked by Vice Provost Tibor Nagy.

The questions ranged from the role of women in the Gulf States to the U.S.-Oman Free Trade Agreement. After Al-Mughairy and Cook had thoroughly discussed the questions posed by Ambassador Nagy, they fielded questions from the audience and responded to queries as diverse as "What is the best way for a young person to prepare herself for a State Dept. career?" to "What is it like to be a female diplomat in an Arab country?"
