OIA Hosts International Graduation Reception

On the evening of May 14th, the Office of International Affairs hosted a reception to honor our international student graduates of Spring and Summer 2018. Graduates, and their loved ones, had the opportunity to hear from university administrators, including President Lawrence Schovanec, Provost Michael Galyean, Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Mark Sheridan, and Dr. Sukant Misra, Vice Provost of International Affairs. Students received graduation gifts from the Office of International Affairs, showed their national and Red Raider pride while engaging with a large map and photo booth, and enjoyed refreshments. International Student Life Administrator Beth Mora stated, “This was a great evening of celebrating our international students, their accomplishments, and the impact they have made here in Lubbock and at Texas Tech.”
