Summer 2020 Study Abroad programs

This is an annoucement related to students who have started a Texas Tech University study abroad application for summer 2020, including Maymester. Texas Tech University continues to closely monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and announced this week that we will make a final decision about summer 2020 programming no later than March 31. Please find this announcement on the Office of International Affairs website.

I understand you are eager to move forward with your summer plans. Considering the Coronavirus outbreak, here are some recommendations:

• If purchasing airline tickets, purchase a refundable ticket and/or trip insurance coverage. Please consult with your selected airline regarding trip insurance policies available and covered events.
• If you have already purchased an airline ticket, please share a copy of the purchase receipt with the Study Abroad Office (studyabroad@ttu.edu).

As stated in my email to you dated Monday, March 2, I ask that you stay flexible with your travel plans. I appreciate your understanding as the University works to keep Red Raiders safe around the world.
