Mario Beruvides, Ph.D.

International Affairs welcomes Dr. Beruvides as new Associate Vice Provost. 

Dr. Mario BeruvidesDr. Beruvides has been a faculty member at Texas Tech University since 1994 and during this time has developed a national and international reputation in engineering research and education. Beruvides has served as the associate chair of the IMSE department (2014-2018), the associate dean of the graduate school and director of the interdisciplinary studies program (2021-2022) as well as various departmental assignments as chair of the undergraduate and graduate committees and the Systems and Engineering Management coordinator.  Dr. Beruvides is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas, a Fellow of the American Society for Engineering Management - ASEM (2007), and a member of the National Academy of Inventors, (2017) with 6 U.S. patents and 7 International patents to his name, among other extensive accomplishments in teaching, research, and service.
