Carolina Arellanos
Assistant Director, International Relations
Carol graduated from Texas Tech with a Master of Fine Arts degree. Her previous position was in the exhibition division at the Museum of Texas Tech University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Lubbock Arts Alliances and on the Public Art Texas Tech University Public Art System Committee.
Vanessa Jimenez
Event Specialist
Vanessa was born and raised in Lubbock and was the first in her family to graduate from Texas Tech. She recently lived in Thailand but has enjoyed travelling the world serving as a life coach and mentor in leadership development for young adults. Vanessa is passionate about living life to the fullest and helping others to do the same!
Calan Welder
International Grants Administrator
Calan is an eclectic hobbyist who enjoys hands-on study of the natural world and spends much of his time outdoors. He earned his MA in Theatre Studies from University of Missouri-Kansas City and holds a BA in Theatre Design and Technology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. His most recent research interests while a Texas Tech doctoral student included Texas cultural phenomena and historic expressions of heritage through pageantry.
