Re: Summer 2021 Study Abroad Programs

Dear Texas Tech University Community:

We are pleased to announce that we remain committed to resuming study abroad offerings, beginning summer 2021, with increased attention to the safety of our faculty, staff, and students. We will continue to monitor a multitude of conditions: travel restrictions, visa issuance, conditions on the ground, etc., and will not hesitate to cancel programs if circumstances worsen for the safety of our faculty and students.

Thanks for your continued commitment to international education. The well-being of faculty, staff, and students is a top priority for Texas Tech. We appreciate your patience as we continually assess risk across all study abroad programs and international travel. We ask that all student and university travelers remain vigilant and flexible with travel plans. You can locate more information about international travel and COVID protocols on the Office of International Affairs COVID website

Students, we hope you will use the remainder of the semester to explore study abroad opportunities and prepare for future travel. To help you understand your study abroad options, the Office of International Affairs has organized several events and information sessions. We hope you will join us to plan your upcoming travels. Please also visit the TTU Study Abroad website or contact Whitney Longnecker, Director of Study Abroad, at whitney.longnecker@ttu.edu should you have questions.

Sincerely,

Signature of Dr. Sukant Misra
