Dr. Aaron Arreola selcted for the TTU Teaching Academy.

Aaron Arreola

Dr. Arreola's background as a certified athletic trainer and licensed physical therapist, in addition to his doctoral program studies, make him imminently qualified to teach KIN 3346 Anatomical Kinesiology and athletic training courses. He has a tremendous gift to communicate difficult anatomical terms and structures clearly and sequentially to facilitate student learning. Accolades about his effectiveness as a teacher abound in students' comments on class evaluations. Students state he is the best teacher they have ever had, an excellent teacher, and they comment that his course is their favorite and a beneficial course in their major. Aaron consistently exemplifies outstanding teaching in combination with a commitment to helping all students learn. He has willingly mentored Honor College students and students completing KIN 4375 Internship in Kinesiology. He has received recognition from student organizations for his teaching, including the Mortar Board Apple Polishing award. In 2021, he received the College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Teaching in recognition for his outstanding teaching. Dr. Arreola serves as the coordinator for the department's Sports Medicine minor helping with curriculum development and mentoring of faculty teaching courses in this minor. Also, as a certified athletic trainer, he volunteers to provide his services to local youth organizations.
