Leehu Loon, ASLA, PLA, joined Texas Tech University in 2022 as Professor and Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. Prior to TTU, Leehu was at the University of Oklahoma from 2005-2022 and served there as the Director of the Landscape Architecture program from 2014-2022 and as Associate Dean of Administration for the Gibbs College of Architecture from 2016-2021. Leehu is a licensed landscape architect who has practiced in Oregon, Washington, DC, and China. Leehu has an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from The Ohio State University and a graduate degree in landscape architecture from Virginia Tech. Leehu is an advocate for the profession of landscape architecture and enjoys volunteering with the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB), the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB), and serving on national American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) committees in areas relating to professional practice, education, and the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE). In his free time, Leehu enjoys spending time with his wife, son, daughter, and four dogs.
