Curriculum Vitae

Matt's interdisciplinary career spanning over 15 years includes land development consulting in Southwest Florida, design-build self-employment, art, managing university facilities condition assessments, project management/ owner's representation, and teaching landscape architecture design and construction courses. He is currently a Whitacre Presidential Fellow in the Land-use Planning, Management, and Design Ph.D. program. His research interests encompass stormwater management, phytoremediation, and landscape performance in semi-arid agricultural landscapes. He believes economically quantifying the impacts of multi-functional landscapes is key to the development of resilient communities. His preferred state of mind is found while riding a motorcycle across the Southwestern United States.
