Brittany Morris is the User Services Librarian and an Assistant Librarian of Law. Professor Morris creates and implements Law Library programming for students, faculty, alumni, local attorneys, and the larger Lubbock community. She teaches Criminal Trial Research, serves as a draft instructor for Academic Legal Writing, and instructs in the Excellence in Legal Research Program.

Professor Morris is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign iSchool, where she obtained her Master of Library and Information Science. She received her Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston. While at the University of Houston Law Center, she served as the Chief Symposium Editor and Director for The Environmental and Energy Law and Policy Journal. After law school, Professor Morris worked for Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts in Houston as a staff attorney and served as a Legal Fellow for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Before joining the Law Library Faculty at Texas Tech, Professor Morris worked as the Projects Librarian for the University of Houston Law Center.

Her research areas include the intersections of intellectual property, technology, new media, metadata, as well as student and lawyer mental health.  She is admitted to practice in the state of Texas and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She enjoys video and tabletop games, travel, music, and computer programming.
