Glamour & Fame: Texas Tech's Pride Week Drag Pageant

"Pride Across the Americas"

5th Annual Glamour & Fame Pageant Promotional Graphic

Join the Office of LGBTQIA Education & Engagement for our 5th Glamour and Fame Pageant on Friday, October 15, at 7 p.m.! This annual pageant features incredible drag performers from Texas Tech and throughout west Texas. The Pageant will be held at Club Luxor in Lubbock, Texas.

The overall Pageant theme for 2021 is “Pride Across the Americas.” This theme is inspired by our special guest, former Miss Florida FI and Miss Continental (2017) Shantell D'Marco, who has drawn from her Cuban and American roots in pageants all across the world.

All proceeds from the pageant will go to Tech Gender & Sexuality Association, a student-led LGBTQIA and allies organization striving to make Texas Tech and the Lubbock community a safe and welcoming place to all students -- regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Guest Performer: Shantell D'Marco

Born in Havana, Cuba & raised in Miami, Florida, Shantell D'Marco is a former Miss Florida F.I. (2016) and Miss Continental (2017), as well as first alternate to Miss International Queen in Thailand. She can describe her drag to be passionate, exciting, intriguing, and sensual. An untouchable beauty, Miss Shantell D'Marco!
