Government Documents

The Government Documents Collection contains federal government material. As a regional depository, the collection includes all depository publications distributed under the Federal Depository Library Program administered by the U.S. Government Printing Office. Government publications are received in many formats: paper, microfiche, microfilm, CD-ROM, DVD, videotape, and electronic. The collection also shares space with the Patent and Trademark Resource Center collection.

Items within this collection can be located and searched through the online catalog. Additionally, specialized indexes, catalogs, and guides are useful in locating sources of government information. These tools are available in paper, electronic, and microfiche formats. The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (GPO) is the chief index to U.S. government publications.

Materials within the Government Documents Collection are shelved by Superintendent of Documents (SuDoc) call number, which is in contrast to the Library's standard LC classification system. If you need help locating an item, please contact circulation, or Tom Rohrig, Associate Librarian at tom.rohrig@ttu.edu or (806) 742-2238 x280.
