Brad Light

Brad Light is pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at Texas Tech University. He conducts the Matador Singers and University Singers and is a teaching assistant for multiple undergraduate Choral Conducting and Music Education courses.

Brad has a Masters in Music Education from the University of Mississippi and a B.A. in Music from Harding University. Before coming to Texas Tech, Mr. Light was a choral music educator in Kansas City, MO, and Lubbock, TX for six years. His programs received consistent high ratings at Missouri's Large Ensemble festivals and in 2018 were invited to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Annual Inservice Workshop and Conference. 

Brad Light is also an active performer in choral ensembles. Most recently, he can be heard on Kantorei of Kansas City's 2016 recording To Bethlehem: Carols and Motets for Christmas, released by Resonus Classics. Brad is an active church musician and the Music Minister at Forrest Heights United Methodist Church in Lubbock, TX. Brad is an active member of NAfME and ACDA.
