Kelbi Delaune, PhD
About Me
I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I lived until the 6th grade and then moved to east Texas with my family. I attended Sam Houston State University where I achieved my B.F.A. in Theatre with a minor in Biology and also my M.S. degree in Biological Sciences. During both my undergraduate and graduate time I worked under the mentorship of Dr. Chad Hargrave. Within the Hargrave Aquatic Ecology Lab, I largely worked throughout desert spring systems in west Texas. Specifically, I was interested in the impacts of habitat loss and a non-native fish species on a native/endangered fish within San Solomon Springs in Balmorhea, Texas. My research interest include investigating global change drivers, within the context of freshwater conservation and ecology, throughout the Southwestern U.S.
