My research interests include the evolution of mammalian carnivores, predator ecology, tropical ecosystem ecology, conservation biology, and the abundance and distribution of species. I am also interested in the development of new and effective wildlife survey and research techniques. I received a B.S. (Honors) in Biology (Zoology) and one in Environmental Science from Long Island University/Southampton College. I received my M.S. in Conservation Biology and Applied Ecology from the University of Maryland/Frostburg State, where I worked on the ecology of a reintroduced river otter population.
