Biography

I am a native of the Llano Estacado and grew up on a mesa overlooking the confluence of the Yellowhouse and Blackwater Draw. I graduated from Texas Tech with a B.A. in Natural History and Humanities, where I first realized the importance of conservation beyond adoration. I currently work full time as a Historic Maintenance Tech at the Lubbock Lake Landmark, where I help manage the 330+ acre prairie relic. I am interested in global grassland conservation and education, historic fire regimes, and brush management. I enjoy cutting down Siberian elm trees, hunting Texas horned lizards with my camera, and dancing to the Thrift Store Cowboys.
