Biography

I started my college career as a mathematics major at the University of North Texas in Denton before graduating from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Biomedical Science in 2002.  After a “short” 12-year break from school, I decided to go back for my masters and doctorate.  For my masters at Tarleton State University, I studied phylogenetic diversity of bat communities in Mexico.  I am extremely excited to continue my education at Texas Tech in Dr. Stevens' lab and will focus on assessing patterns in bat communities utilizing null models. I look forward to blending my love of bats, ecology, and statistics!
