Biography

Residing in Russellville, Tennessee, I found the wildlife science program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Initially I had a holistic interest for ecology in general, though, a few years into my B.S. I found herpetology via my academic advisor and the Tennessee Amphibian Monitoring Program. After gaining some minimal experience, my interest for this clade of animals continued to grow throughout the rest of my undergraduate career. Post graduation, I began working with herpetofauna in Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, and throughout the Tennessee state. Here at Texas Tech, I'll be working on determining presence of the spot-tailed earless lizard, especially looking at factors that may impact detection of this species. My research interests include secretive herpetofauna, detection dynamics, and landscape distribution.
