Biography

I grew up in the the Hill country where I graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2011. After high school I relocated to West Texas and earned a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Angelo State University in 2015. I stayed at Angelo State and earned my Master's of Animal Science with a specialisation in Range Science in 2017. During my time at Angelo State, I was honored with the Outstanding Undergraduate Range Student award. I also placed third in state individually in the Undergraduate Range and Ecology exam at the 2015 Texas Section Society of Range Mangement conference and helped my team to a first place finish overall. During my graduate studies I coached two URME teams that finished 2nd in 2016 and 1st in 2017. In 2017 I won 2nd place in the Masters poster presentation contest at the Society of Range Mangement in St. George Utah over my thesis (Precoditioning Procedures and Supplementation to increase Redberry Juniper Consumption with Boer Goats). My research interest include procedures of controlling invasive species, grazing management techniques and wildlife habitat restoration. My career goals are to either to become a professor or range specialist, with the dreams of opening my own range consultant business.
