Biography

I come from a small logging town in northern Maine (Millinocket), received by B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut (200) and my M.S. in Wildlife Sciences from TTU (2009). My primary interests include carnivore ecology and conservation, conservation genetics, and predator-prey relationships. In pursuit of these interests, my current research is focused on the genetic structure of coyote populations in AZ and NM and screening them for Mexican wolf genetic introgression. My career aspirations lie in academia, where I can pursue my research interests and contribute to the conservation of natural resources. Here at TTU, my TA responsibility includes teaching Introduction to Wildlife and Ecology and Conservation of Natural Resources. In regards to hobbies, I live for bowhunting white-tails, but also enjoy waterfowl hunting, hiking, traveling, cooking and as many people know…eating!
