Elizabeth Roesler, Ph.D.
Biography
Even though I am a huge nature lover, I ironically grew up outside of Chicago with little wildlife areas and earned a BS in Biology at The University of Illinois at Chicago. I moved to New Mexico to study this species as an intern through Americorps. I have always been fascinated with endangered species and conservation, which perfectly led me into my research at Texas Tech University. I will be evaluating two survey techniques to determine the distribution, density, and habitat associations of an endangered marsh snail, Pecos assiminea (Assimineapecos) at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Roswell, NM. I would love to get my PhD and continue to teach and perform research relating to conservation in freshwater habitats.
