1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. — NHERI Wind EF Special Session

This session will provide an overview of the experimental and user support services provided by the NSF-funded Natural Hazards Experimental Research Infrastructure (NHERI) Experimental Facilities at the Florida International University's Wall of Wind (FIU WOW) and the University of Florida's Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel (UF BLWT). Participants will hear directly from external users on their experiences working with the NHERI facilities to plan and execute their experimental testing to advance their wind hazard research. Each panelist will give a short presentation on their project and a panel discussion with the facility users and PIs will follow.

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. — NHERI DesignSafe Cyberinfrastructure Special Session

1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. — NHERI REU Special Session

This session will focus on the NHERI REU program and feature a combination of research presentations by REU alumni, a panel of REU alums describing their experiences for the benefit of the NHERI professional community, and a panel of NHERI Council members describing their professional journey through graduate education. A panel of natural hazards professionals will describe their career paths and experiences for the benefits of the NHERI student community.

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. — NHERI Gradate Student Council Special Session

This special session will focus on the purpose and work of the NHERI Graduate Council. It will consist of research presentations as well as presentations that highlight the work of the Graduate Council. A panel of professionals from the natural hazards community focusing on mentoring and DEI topics will participate in this session.

7:00 p.m. — ACWE Banquet at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center
