What is FSSE?
Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE): TTU is piloting the FSSE as a companion to the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) which is administered to TTU first-year and senior students every two years. Administered by the Center for Postsecondary Research at Indiana University, the FSSE adds invaluable faculty voices and perspectives to discussions around undergraduate student learning and development. In particular, the FSSE survey provides important context to the NSSE.
Why is it important?
Driven by the strategic priority to educate and empower a diverse student body, we hope to use the NSSE and FSSE as tools for efficiently collecting input on the undergraduate student experience from as many stakeholders as possible. To authentically engage in the difficult—but important—work of improving the quality of undergraduate education at TTU, it takes input from all of us—students, staff, alumni, parents, friends, AND FACULTY! By taking the time to fill out the FSSE, you are helping paint a more complete picture of the TTU undergraduate student experience and informing subsequent discussions about how TTU can best support work to make that experience better. We are asking the students to “help the next you” by filling out the NSSE. We are asking you to help TTU support your students by investing your time in the FSSE.

Keep an eye out for an email from fsse@fsse.org in February 2021! You may be among the group of faculty and instructional staff asked to complete this important survey. Your personalized invitation email will contain a direct link to the FSSE survey. Please note that FSSE submissions are collected anonymously, and TTU will only have access to aggregated results to ensure the preservation of that anonymity. You will have the option to enter your name into a drawing for one of our survey incentives.
Incentives
As a thank-you for taking the time to complete the FSSE, you may choose to be entered into a drawing to win one of 75 Under Armour backpacks with custom Double-T embroidery.
