Goals of PADR

PADR strives to provide students with opportunities for academic and personal skill development. Students will research and implement a variety of successful learning techniques as well as time and stress management systems to better cultivate personal and professional goals. Student will develop critical thinking, reading, and writing abilities by interacting with on-campus resources and by researching and discussing how to identify and implement these abilities. Important academic skills learned in PADR include the following:

  • Goal setting
  • Test taking skills
  • Memory techniques
  • Note-taking skills
  • Effective study habits
  • Time Management

Additionally, students will analyze factors that contribute to personal motivation and drive. Stress management techniques will be covered and will aid students in maintaining life balance.

PADR instructors promote an open and understanding learning environment in the classroom and provide students with one-on-one guidance and supplemental instruction.
