Talk to your student about using Student Health Services any time they feel sick or are needing a check-up while they are on campus. They can familiarize themselves with the Student Wellness Center and learn how to set up an appointment by watching this video
If your student is new to campus, their first stop will be the office of their assigned residence hall to pick up their room key and check-in paperwork. In order to check-in, the student will need either their Texas Tech Student ID or an appropriate State Issued ID for identity verification, so please be sure to pack that somewhere easily accessible!
If your student is a returning resident, please have them stop by their residence hall with their Texas Tech Student ID to check in.
Once checked-in with the office you can start moving in. Students and parents may park in any designated residence hall lot (Z lots). Please note that parking is limited so we suggest planning to drop items off at the curb and then parking farther out.
For more information visit http://www.depts.ttu.edu/housing/movein.php.
Be sure you and your student go over the list of items to bring and not bring, which can be found online at http://housing.ttu.edu/movein/. It is also important that your student coordinate with their roommate(s) about who is bringing larger items such as refrigerators, televisions, and microwaves.
The University Student Housing and Hospitality Services Contract Guide contains the most current information regarding the rules and regulations of the residence halls.
