Kevin Banda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Texas Tech University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his B.A. from the University of Missouri. His research focuses broadly on public opinion, campaigns, elections, political communication, and state politics in the American context. More specifically, his work centers on candidate interaction, the effects of cue taking in attitude formation, campaign advertising, and the influence of elite polarization on public opinion. His research has been published in journals like Political Behavior, Public Opinion Quarterly, and Political Communication.
