David K. Hamilton is the Political Science Coordinator of the Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program and Special Projects. He was the former chair of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration and professor of public administration at Roosevelt University. Current research interests include democracy and efficiency, patronage and human resource management, comparative regional governance, and local government reform. He is co-editor of Regional Policies for Metropolitan Livability, M.E. Sharpe, 2008 and author of Governing Metropolitan Areas: Response to Growth and Change, Garland Publishing, 1999. He has published over fifteen articles in a number of journals on patronage, human resources, and regional topics including Public Administration Review, Review of Public Personnel Administration, Urban Affairs Review, Journal of Urban Affairs, State and Local Government Review, Public Personnel Management, and National Civic Review.
