Environmental Policy and Administration
Environmental policy and administration prepare students for careers in the administration of environmentally-based public service organizations. The curriculum provides students with the professional skills necessary to become effective environmental administrators. Students will learn the how theory, politics, and science drive environmental policymaking and how human-induced climate-change impacts administrative decision-making at all levels of government. Courses in environmental and policy administration offer a mixture of classroom and hands-on experience to students seeking employment in the expanding field of environmental science and policy. These courses allow students to interact with international, national, state, and local environmental leaders as they learn to apply classroom knowledge and techniques to real life environmental problems. In addition, students will choose electives that synchronize with the above courses or to best meet their career goals.
