Dr. Eric Brown is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Area of Information Systems and Quantitative Sciences in the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration at Texas Tech University. Dr. Brown's research has thus far focused on developing optimization and data science techniques to address complex problems in application areas related to our critical infrastructure such as medicine and the power grid. Dr. Brown received his Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University. He also holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in industrial engineering from Abilene Christian University and Texas A&M University, respectively. Dr. Brown's teaching interests lie in the tools necessary to be an effective data scientist as well as data scientific methods themselves.
