Gabriel Partida is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico. He received his undergraduate degree in Communication from Universidad Panamericana in 2008 and his master's degree in Film Studies from Universidad de Guadalajara in 2011. He recently graduated with his Ph.D. in Media and Communication from Texas Tech University. Gabriel is a certified screenwriter by UCLA and has worked as an independent filmmaker and writer for diverse advertising companies in Mexico. He collaborates as a script consultant for some audiovisual companies as well as is interested in the analysis of popular culture and its role in the formation of cultural identity. He has been a college professor for more than years and has worked in different administrative roles, such as Department Chair and Assistant Director. Outside his academic work, he is a film collector and loves attending music concerts/festivals with his wife.
