Jo Anna Albiar
Jo Anna Albiar is a full-time lecturer in the First-Year Writing Program of the English Department in the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds an MA in English with a specialty in Creative Writing from Texas Tech University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University. She has served as the Managing Editor for Iron Horse Literary Review and the Creative Nonfiction Editor for Relief: A Christian Literary Expression, and she is currently an Associate Editor for Iron Horse. She previously served as a committee member of the 2013 Two-Year College Association Southwest Conference and was a panelist in 2015 for the Texas Community College Teachers Association panel “Keys to Success”, a discussion panel focused on the impact teachers have on student success. With more than fifteen years of experience in the classroom, Jo Anna Albiar loves every single aspect of her role as teacher. She lives in Lubbock with her husband, daughter, and dog.
