Lu Wei

Lu WeiLu Wei's recent research interests lie in quantum information processing with applications to quantum computing and communications. He also works on classical information theory relevant to wireless communications, signal processing, and machine learning. 

Lu Wei received a Bachelor degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, a Master degree (with distinction) from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, and a Ph.D. degree (with distinction) from Aalto University, Finland, in 2006, 2008, and 2013, respectively. He subsequently held postdoctoral positions at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University

of Helsinki, Finland, from 2013 to 2015 and at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University, from 2015 to 2016. Before joining the Department of Computer Science at Texas Tech University as an Assistant Professor, Lu Wei taught at University of Michigan - Dearborn from 2016 to 2021.
