Mike Lemon

Mike Lemon is a lecturer in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program and the Graduate School's Instructional Development Coordinator. As a teacher-scholar, he has taught graduate courses in Foundations in Interdisciplinary Studies and Leadership as Intentional Practice. He has also taught undergraduate courses in first-year writing, technical writing, and American literature. His research investigates race, gender, and space in American culture. He has forthcoming articles and book chapters on The Squatter and the Don, Iola Leroy, the Netflix Punisher series, and Lobo.

As the Instructional Development Coordinator, he is committed to helping graduate students gain confidence in the classroom. He regularly presents professional development workshops on active learning strategies, critical thinking, inclusive course design, teaching philosophies, and academic job market advice.
