Sabrina Davis is the Open Educational Resources (OER) Librarian and holds the Assistant Librarian rank in Texas Tech University Libraries. Sabrina received her Master of Library Science from Emporia State University in 2018. Prior to coming to Texas Tech, Sabrina was employed as the User Services Librarian and then promoted to Director of University Libraries at Graceland University in Iowa. During her time at Graceland she served on the Institutional Strategic Planning Committee, Dean's Council, and Staff Director's Council Leadership Team. Sabrina also spearheaded open education efforts on campus by gaining administrative support for the institution to become a member of the Open Education Network, and assisted with the Iowa Private Academic Libraries Consortium OER Grant Project.
At Texas Tech, Sabrina intends to educate the campus community on the benefits of adopting OER, and demonstrate the value that these resources can have in providing an equitable learning environment and promoting student success. She is excited to be representing Texas Tech Libraries as a Texas Digital Library OER ambassador and participating in the OpenStax Institutional Partnership program. Sabrina's research interests include OER in promotion and tenure guidelines in higher education, open education and equity pedagogy, and data acquisition within the academic publishing industry.
When not at work, Sabrina enjoys cross-stitching while binge watching true crime documentaries, listening to Brené Brown podcasts, and exploring walking trails.
