Ying Liu

Ying Liu received her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, under the supervision of Prof. Wade Trappe. She earned her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and B.S. degree in EE from Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications.

Prior to joining Texas Tech University, she was a research associate in the Computational Science Initiative (CSI) at DOE Brookhaven National Laboratory (2018 - 2020). Her research focuses on the robustness of communication networks, Software Defined Networking (SDN), network security, network optimization and control, game theory and machine learning/AI for optimal resource allocation in a wireless network, and the reliability of a blockchain ecosystem.
