2020 Integrated Scholars at Texas Tech

`

What defines an Integrated Scholar?

Integrated Scholars are faculty who dedicate themselves to a course of lifelong learning and advance Texas Tech's role in educating, serving and inspiring others to do the same.

Integrated Scholars are not only outstanding in teaching, research and service, but they are also able to generate synergy among the three functions. Faculty members who are Integrated Scholars consistently promote active learning and infuse the results of their research and scholarship in courses and other learning experiences. Integrated Scholars publish results of their teaching innovations in peer-reviewed journals. Finally, Integrated Scholar faculty members plan and execute service commitments to complement their teaching and research goals.

How are the Integrated Scholar honorees chosen?

It is inspiring to think about Texas Tech faculty who display characteristics of Integrated Scholars. With this in mind, the Office of the Provost invites the Texas Tech University community to provide nominations for Integrated Scholars.

Nominations for the 2022 cohort will open in early spring 2022. Any member of the community is invited to nominate a current TTU faculty member as an Integrated Scholar. A nomination should be no longer than one page and summarize a faculty member's teaching, research and service accomplishments. The nominator also must include his or her name, phone number, and email address.

Integrated Scholars will be chosen and announced in the spring semester. Final selections are made by the Office of the Provost.
