PSS and TTU Scholarships

The Department of Plant and Soil Science awards over $75,000 of scholarship support annually to undergraduate students majoring in Plant and Soil Science and another $65,000 in scholarship support to graduate students pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D.

These scholarships are in addition to any other external Texas Tech University or College scholarship support. Students are awarded on a wide variety of criteria including academic performance, financial need, student involvement and special recognition.

Students are categorized in one of four categories for the scholarship applications; Entering Freshman, Transfer Student, Current Student and Graduate Student.

How to Apply - Texas Tech Scholarships

Note: If you are interested in applying for a College or Departmental scholarship, the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and the Plant and Soil Science Department use the entering freshman, entering transfer, or current student scholarship applications provided by Texas Tech University.

Entering Freshmen

  Available at www.applytexas.org, for students entering Texas Tech University with no other college credit or directly out of high school. Complete the admissions application and click the "apply for scholarships" button within the ApplyTexas admissions application. Entering Transfer Students

  Available at www.applytexas.org, for students entering Texas Tech University from another college (either a four year university or a community college). Complete your admissions application and click the "apply for scholarships" button within the ApplyTexas admissions application. Current Students

  The Current Student Scholarship Application is available at: TTU Scholarships for Honors Current Students. This is an internal scholarship application through Texas Tech that you fill out once a year. You do not go to the ApplyTexas website to fill this out.

Graduate Students

  Scholarships for graduate students are awarded through the Graduate School and the individual student's department. TTU Fellowships & Scholarships. Please note, deadlines for these scholarships are all different!
