Referrals

Clients may be self-referred or referred by medical, clerical, educational, or other mental health agencies in the region. For referrals, please include the type of service requested in the referral (e.g., individual therapy, ADHD testing, etc.). Please note with any referral, the potential client will be contacted for placement on our waitlist at this time. To place someone on the waitlist, you also can call our office at (806) 742-3737.

Fees for Services

Fees for therapy services are determined on a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. Individuals are required to provide proof of income at the time of the intake session. The fee for an initial intake interview and testing is $25.00 for all clients. TTU or TTUHSC faculty and staff receive a 10% fee reduction (this discount does not extend to family members or for assessment services). Individuals who consent to participate in research projects may receive a fee reduction for sessions related to the research. Fees for assessments vary by assessment.

Hours Of Operation

The Texas Tech University Psychology Clinic is open during the following hours:

Monday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:30 am – 8:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:30 am – 8:00 pm
Thursday: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm; 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm*
Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

*The clinic is closed from 3:30 – 5:00 on Thursdays so that students may attend professional development workshops and colloquiums.

During semester breaks, the clinic is closed between 12:00 and 1:00pm, and only open one weeknight as co-directors are not available to provide additional coverage of the front office. Clinic hours are subject to change during the summer semesters.

The clinic operates for a 12-month period and is closed on university holidays and on weekends. The clinic is also closed during times the TTU campus is officially closed. If Texas Tech University closes or delays for inclement weather, the Psychology Clinic also will close/delay.

Texas Tech Plaza is located on the southeast corner of 19th Street and University Avenue. You may park anywhere in the lot. Enter the building through the glass doors (see map below) and the clinic is up the stairs on the left. Wheelchair-lift access is also available.
