the West Art Contest receive recognistion
for their effort. Awards presented by
noted Western artist Bob Moline.
Ranch Hosts Spring Meeting,
Ranch Day, 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m., FREE ADMISSION Spend some time in
the Old West during this educational living
history event. Activities for the 45th annual
Ranch Day The popular event will include hands-on science and history demonstrations, a ranch horse skills demonstration, a stick horse rodeo, music, dancing, and a magic show at the 6666 Barn.

to 3 p.m., FREE ADMISSION to Junior Rough
Riders, $5 for non-members. Join us in
an exploration fo the Northern Bob White
Quail. This event is intended for
children in grades 1-6. Contact

The second annual Summer
Stampede Art and Gear Show is made possible
through the generous support of Capital Farm
Credit. Summer Stampede will feature
Western art and gear made by over thirty
famous artists and gear makers. Dance
to music by Jake Hooker and the Outsiders.

13 - 17 Summer Youth Classes,
8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students grades
K through 5 can choose from a variety of
fun heritage education classes at the Annual
Summer Youth Classes where they can learn about
cowboy life, pioneer living, western art, the
legends of the West and more. Advance registration

National Golden Spur
Award Dinner, 6 - 9 p.m.
The National Golden Spur
Award is given by the ranching and livestock
industries in recognition of accomplishments
by an individual. Sponsors of the award are the American Quarter
Horse Association, National Cattlemen’s Foundation,
Ranching Heritage Association, Texas and Southwestern
Cattle Raisers Association, Texas Cattle Feeders
Association and Texas Farm Bureau. Tickets
required in advance.

11 - 12 Candlelight at the
Ranch, 6 to
9 p.m., $2 SUGGESTED DONATION. Candlelight at the Ranch captures the traditional
spirit of a pioneer Christmas. This annual holiday
event offers a glimpse into the past as visitors
experience yuletide celebrations that took place
on the open prairie more than 100 years ago.
