After three days of amazing cultural tours, beautiful sights, and exquisite food, it was time to start our first day of learning about the local markets and businesses in the Czech Republic. The morning started with breakfast, like any other day, then we got into our groups for the local market immersion. In this activity, each of our groups went to different small businesses around Prague, consisting of coffee shops, malls, pharmacies, and food markets, to observe how they do business and learn about things such as their typical customer base, how regulations of their business differ from those in America, and how wide spread their business was around the country, or in some cases even the world.

Once we had finished visiting the local markets, we headed to lunch, which was right next to Skoda's factory, where we had delicious french onion soup, pork schnitzel. and cake. While we were there we got to see some very neat cars in their museum.

Then, we embarked on our tour of the factory where Skoda makes thousands of cars every day. It was phenomenal to see how innovation, technology, and robotics can be deployed in the manufacturing industry to streamline efficiency for an automobile company.

Once we had completed the tour of their factory, we met with two employees who gave us a presentation about their target markets, prominent demographics, technological advancements, and where the company's future is headed. It was a great privilege and educational experience to meet with Skoda and we are very thankful for their willingness to meet with us.
