Adam Cathey is a Senior Managing Director of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P., a leading alternative investment firm that manages over $30 billion across energy, real estate, growth equity and credit on behalf of foundations, endowments, family offices and other institutional investors.

Other investment and management experience includes serving as an Associate and later Director of the Corporate Finance Group of ORIX USA Corporation (2007-2014) and an Analyst with Clearview Partners, L.P. (2005-2006).

Mr. Cathey received a B.B.A. in Finance and General Business from Texas Tech University (2005) and professional accreditations include the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and FINRA licenses Series 7 and 63. 

Mr. Cathey is a member of CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth, Cary Council at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Advisory Council for the Rawls College of Business - Vice Chair of Development Committee, the Texas Tech Alumni Association and Former Member of the Chancellor's Council at Texas Tech University

Mr. Cathey and his wife, Cassie (Texas Tech '06), have three children.
