Scott Hendon has more than 30 years of experience providing tax consulting services to a wide range of energy, high-tech, manufacturing, distribution and retail clients. He is an internationally recognized thought leader and frequent presenter on international tax topics.

At BDO International, Hendon is the U.S. representative on the Tax Advisory Committee, practice leader for the Southwest Private Equity Group and co-leader of the National Private Equity Industry Group. He also serves on the BDO USA LLP Board of Directors and is the Southwest Regional Business Line Leader for Tax. His responsibilities include structuring and due diligence work for portfolio company acquisitions and assisting U.S. companies with their offshore operations by developing structures and planning ideas to reduce the worldwide effective tax rate. Hendon previously worked for the international firm Grant Thornton.

Hendon earned a M.S. in Taxation from Texas Tech University (1986). His professional affiliations include AICPA, Board of Fed Tax and Society of International Business Fellows.

In the community, Hendon has been involved with Leadership Dallas, Park Cities Baptist Church, Stew Pot, Accounting Advisory Board of SMU, Advisory Board of Private Equity CFO Association, Junior Achievement and Texas Association of Business Leadership Dallas.

Hendon and his wife, Annette, have two children.
