Sean Walsh has over 28 years of management experience in the areas of finance, operations and marketing.
Sean joined Dell in 1997, and has held various management roles including controller for Small & Medium Business Segment (SMB) and Corporate Business Group (CBG), FP&A manager and Global Special Pricing Manager. Currently, Mr. Walsh is CFO of the Commercial Sales division for Dell Technologies. He manages a global staff of ~400 supporting 20,000+ sales makers and Sales of over $50 billion. Additionally, he has managed the Enterprise Center of Competence (COC): Server/Storage/PC Pricing, Master Sales Plan (MSP), Data Analysis, SKU Mgmt, and Business Analysis. Director-Finance for the Product Group (PG). Mr. Walsh supported an annual budget of $16 Billion and 6,000 Engineers. Employees included 3 directors and 100 employees. Director-Finance Software & Peripherials. Mr. Walsh supported an annual budget of $3 Billion and supported 1000 Sales makers. Next his team supported the Services Group of over 21,000 Delivery Professionals & Consultants and manages a budget of $3 Billion. He has led integration activities of $1B ASAP Software Inc. and 6 other services related acquisitions including MessageOne, Silverback and $4B Perot Systems Inc.
Prior to joining the Dell team, Sean held several distribution and manufacturing managerial positions with Pepsi-Cola. Mr. Walsh earned a B.B.A. in finance from Texas Tech in 1988 and an M.B.A. in 1990. While at Texas Tech, Sean was also a member of the football team. Currently, he is involved with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Assistant Scout Master and St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School Booster Club, serving as Vice President.
Sean enjoys spending time with his wife, Shanna, his son, Brennon-who is a Freshman at Texas Tech in 2018, and daughter, Kyla who plans on attending in 2020. He is an enthusiastic outdoorsman and loves camping, fishing, water skiing, and biking. He is also a fan of college sports. Sean and his family currently reside in Austin, Texas.
