Master of Science in Nursing/MBA Dual Degree

In partnership with the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Nursing, students can earn an MSN and an MBA with a concentration in Health Organization Management (HOM). This innovative program provides nursing students with the management and business skills to address the future leadership needs of an evolving healthcare environment. You will gain a deeper understanding of business in the healthcare industry, while improving your managerial skills to better serve patients, organizations and your personal career development.

By jointly administrating this dual degree program, the degree requirements are reduced from 78 credit hours to 57 credit hours. Some course offerings are approved for transfer credit, enabling nursing students to graduate with their MBA in a shorter time frame.

Application Process

Applicants must first be accepted into the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Nursing, before applying to the Texas Tech Graduate School. When completing your graduate school application, be sure to select Business Administration (MBA) & Nursing (MSN) Dual as your program of choice.

Application Deadlines

Spring Entry: December 1
Summer I Entry: May 1
Fall Entry: July 1

International students are encouraged to apply at least six months in advance when possible.
