The Center for Professional Development in the Rawls College of Business held its annual Women's Leadership Conference this year for the first time in Houston, Texas on January 16-17, 2003.
Keynote speakers included Colleen Barrett, President and COO of Southwest Airlines; Monica Lamb, founder of Monica Lamb Wellness Foundation and former Houston Comet; Helen Hodges, President of Separation Systems; and Patty DeDominic, President of PDQ Personnel Services.
According to Kim Dixon, CPD Program Manager, evaluations received from the participants were extremely praiseworthy. "The women who attended told us that the information they gained from the conference was very valuable and that it provided great networking opportunities for them. Others said the conference was well worth the cost and that they would definitely attend again."
Attendees of the conference came from Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Dixon says the Rawls College CPD plans to hold next year's Women's Leadership Conference in Houston again.
