I am pleased to announce upcoming changes in administration at the Rawls College of Business.
Don Clancy, who has served 10 fruitful years as Senior Associate Dean, will be returning to the Area of Accounting to further pursue his research and to continue teaching. Don has been instrumental in moving the college forward on many fronts. In addition, Don has guided us successfully through the re-accreditation process with the AACSB, and has been helpful in securing our SACS accreditation. The new Rawls College of Business building has been a major project for Don, and after 7 years hard work, we are now in the straightaway for project completion. Most importantly, Don has been a great right hand for me in leading the college.
Debbie Laverie is setting aside the role of Coordinator in the Area of Marketing and will assume the role of Senior Associate Dean in the Dean's office. Debbie has received many awards throughout the university, and has been a teaching leader in the Rawls College. Debbie will also be leaving the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center [TLTC] where she has served as director in addition to her other responsibilities. As director of the TLTC, Debbie has been instrumental in bringing innovative teaching and technological techniques to the forefront of the TTU culture.
Robert McDonald will assume the role and duties of the Coordinator for the Area of Marketing.
These changes are works in progress, from now through the summer, as the handoff of duties is seamlessly orchestrated.
Please join me as I welcome and congratulate these individuals in their changing roles.
